How it compares

Nine holes and quick
  • A round fits in about two hours.
  • Rated 4.4 on Google, about the typical 4.3 for courses around Brisbane.

Jindalee Golf Club is a short nine-hole course in Brisbane's west that is usually played as 18 holes using different tees on the second circuit. Adding up the hole lengths on the club's course page gives roughly 4,700 metres from the men's tees and a par of 66, with a handful of par 3s and mostly short par 4s. The club says water hazards, out-of-bounds and bunkers come into play, and the 6th is named as one of the hardest holes.

Golfers describe it as a fun, forgiving layout with a few tricky spots, and several say it is a good place for beginners or a relaxed social hit. Shorter par 4s can make club selection awkward, and one first-time visitor found the layout a little confusing. Greens and tee boxes are often praised for their condition, with one regular saying the greens run true. Reviewers also like the prices and the friendly pro shop team. Carts are popular and sometimes run short, so book one early.

The clubhouse has a bistro with outdoor dining over the course, a bar and a pokies room, and a beer garden used for functions. Social players can book through GolfNow or by calling the pro shop. Dress rules ask for neat clothing, enclosed shoes and no metal spikes, and hats and caps come off in the clubhouse. It suits beginners, juniors, seniors and anyone wanting a quick, cheap round close to the city.
