How we list golf courses
Tappy is a golf loyalty network for South East Queensland. This directory lists every golf course we know of in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Tweed (71 today) so golfers can compare them in one place.
Which courses are listed
We start from every golf course and club on Google Maps across the area, then remove driving ranges, indoor simulators, shops and listings for the same course twice. Each remaining course is checked against the club's own website. Courses that have closed, or that we can't confirm are open, aren't listed until we can.
Where the details come from
- Green fees, holes, par, length, facilities and dress code come from the club's own website or booking page, with the date we checked. When a club doesn't publish something, we leave it blank rather than guess.
- Course maps are drawn from OpenStreetMap, mapped by volunteers. They're a guide to the layout, not a yardage book.
- Address, phone, hours and ratings come from the course's Google listing.
- Areas (city, region and suburb) use the Australian Bureau of Statistics' standard geography, the same one the Tappy app uses.
Reviews
We show each course's Google rating and a few short, attributed quotes, and link to the full reviews on Google. "What golfers say" is our own summary of the themes that come up in recent reviews. Courses can't pay to change their rating or their position in a list.
Corrections
Prices and conditions change. If something on a listing is out of date, contact the club and let us know, and we'll update it. Clubs can contact us to add photos, correct details or link their tee-time booking.
