Overview

At a glance

Caboolture Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 71 course on Lesley Avenue in Caboolture, north of Brisbane. The club runs social golf for visitors, mainly on Mondays and Fridays, and has a pro shop, bistro and function room.

How it compares

Full-length 18 holes
  • A par-71 layout of 6,059 m.
  • At 6,059 m it's longer than most 18-hole courses around Brisbane (typical 5,830 m).
  • Rated 4.1 on Google, below the typical 4.3 for courses around Brisbane.

Caboolture is one of the larger clubs in the Moreton Bay North area, with 18 holes measuring about 6059 metres in total and large greens. The club says the course was substantially redesigned some years ago. The 17th is a par 5 and the 18th is a par 3 right in front of the clubhouse, which golfers often mention as a good finishing hole.

Reviewers describe a fairly tight course where accuracy matters more than length, with many tee shots suiting a fade. Greens are generally praised as fast and above average, although a few golfers say the fairways and green surrounds need some attention and that the back tees can be demanding. There is a practice fairway. Pace on busy Sundays gets mixed comments, with one reviewer reporting a long wait on the first tee.

Visitors can play social golf, which runs as full social days on Mondays and Fridays with limited times on other days. Tee times are booked through the club's online calendar or by phone on (07) 5495 1033. Carts can be hired using a form on the club site, and daily cart availability is shown on the website. The clubhouse has the Mulligan Bistro, a terrace and a function room, and golfers regularly rate the food and the staff. It suits corporate days, social clubs and regular players looking for a test off the back tees.
