Surfers Paradise Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 71 course at Fairway Drive, Clear Island Waters, rated 71 under the Australian Course Rating system. The club describes tree-lined fairways with water hazards in play, and an automated recycled-water irrigation system that keeps it playable through the year. Golfers often describe it as flat and walkable and easy for all ages, with a back nine that features a run of par 4s, fast and true greens at their best and a decent pace of play. It can be busy, so booking is wise. Visitors book by calling the pro shop on (07) 5575 1666. The social rate is $60 for 18 holes walking or $35 for nine, with cheaper late-afternoon walking golf at $39, and Monday and some afternoon specials. Carts are $44 for 18 and $30 for nine, club hire is $30 for 18 and $18 for nine and pull buggies are $7. The dress code is traditional, with collared shirts and tailored shorts, and the club says golfers who do not meet it are not allowed on the course. The recently renovated clubhouse has a bar and bistro that reviewers like for functions, weddings and Christmas parties, though food and service reviews are mixed. A couple of reviewers had trouble with booking details for 18-hole rounds on quiet days, so confirm when you ring.

“Great course. 18 holes with all flat areas so easy for any age groups or level of skill. A few shaded areas but best to bring a golf umbrella during the summer months. Golf carts are available for hire. Best to book as quite busy.”
