Links Hope Island is an 18-hole championship course at Hope Island on the Gold Coast, open to public bookings. Green fees include a GPS-equipped shared cart. The resort-style complex also has a driving range, golf academy, cafe and bar, and function venues.
Links Hope Island is an 18-hole course in the Hope Island residential and resort area on the northern Gold Coast, roughly midway between Brisbane and Surfers Paradise. The club describes it as a championship course, and the green fee includes a shared cart fitted with GPS. Golfers often mention the wildlife, with kangaroos regularly seen around the course, and say the driving range, practice putting greens and the course itself are in very good shape. The back nine gets a special mention from one visitor, and staff on the course and in the cafe are praised for being friendly. The main criticism is how the course handles wet weather. After heavy rain, carts were restricted to paths and at least two reviewers felt they were not told clearly how waterlogged the course was, and found the mud and soft greens hard to play. Visitors book tee times online, with options for sunrise nine holes, twilight and sunset, and juniors pay a lower rate. Carts must be returned at sundown on twilight and sunset bookings. Beyond golf there is a golf academy, Sol Cafe and Bar, and a busy events and wedding business. It suits golfers who want a resort-style round with a cart included, and are happy to pay a premium for it. Check conditions before booking in a wet spell.
