At a glance
Tally Valley Golf Course is a 9-hole, 18-tee course at Elanora on the Gold Coast, open to members and the public. Visitor green fees are $26 for 9 holes and $30 for 18, excluding competition days.
Tally Valley is a nine-hole course with 18 tees, so a full round plays the nine twice from different tee positions. It sits in the Tallebudgera Valley behind Elanora, on farmland that the Douglas family bought in the early 1970s and still owns, and the windmill at the clubhouse entrance and the old aircraft hangar are local landmarks. The club rates it as an intermediate course with hilly variations. A reviewer noted there are no bunkers. Par and length are not published on the website. Visitors pay $26 for nine holes or $30 for 18 any day except competition days, with motorised carts at $25 or $35, and clubs, pull carts and buggies available for hire. The whole course is licensed, so you can buy drinks to take out on the course, but BYO alcohol is not allowed. Singlets and thongs are not permitted. There is a small clubhouse with light snacks and a rustic function room overlooking the first fairway used for charity days and work parties. Reviews are mostly old, but they point to friendly staff and members, good value and a relaxed social feel, with a junior program run on Sunday afternoons. A couple of reviewers criticise green condition. It suits beginners, juniors and quick social rounds.

“Had a blast. We visited 20 years ago and it was even more fun this time around. I hired a caddy and did the 9 holes. Took about 1.5hrs. Lost none of my golf balls, a fun time out in beautiful surroundings.”
