  • One of the most-reviewed courses on the Gold Coast (627 Google reviews), so it sees plenty of play.

Gainsborough Greens is an 18-hole championship-style course on Halcyon Drive at Pimpama, designed by Fred Bolton. It is open to the public, and the 18-hole green fee includes a shared GPS cart: $75 on weekdays, $85 on weekends and public holidays, and $49 for twilight play after 1pm. Tee times are for four players with a two-cart maximum, and larger groups of 20 or more book by email. Golfers often mention the amount of water on the course, with lakes and ponds in play on a good number of holes, and the 17th gets a mention for lost balls. Reviewers say the greens and grounds are usually in good condition, and one notes it can get very wet after rain because it was built on swampland. Kangaroos turn up late in the day. A course marshal and a drinks buggy are mentioned in some reviews. Service gets mixed comments, with several complaints about unfriendly staff and a few about balls landing near the neighbouring pedestrian paths. The facilities include a driving range open 7am to 5pm, putting and short game areas, a pro shop, a restaurant, and a golf academy. The dress code is collared shirts and tailored shorts or trousers with a belt. It suits golfers who like a water-heavy test and want cart-inclusive pricing.
